Valley Bible Church's - AWANA Ministry

Valley Bible Church's Children's Awana ministry meets on Sundays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., except during the summer.

Our Awana ministry is for children three years old through twelfth grade.

In order to serve children better on their own level, our Awana program is divided into several clubs:

Cubbies (3 and 4 year olds)

Cubbies is the club for preschoolers during the two years prior to regular kindergarten, usually three and four-year-olds. Cubbies supports parents in the spiritual nurturing of children because preschoolers require help in order to learn. This hopefully builds a healthy spiritual relationship between the child and parent. Cubbies uses the basic Awana elements of games and activities with some simple Bible memorization, handbooks and awards. The games and activities are non-competitive and developmentally appropriate in order to combine Bible truths with popular preschool concepts of colors, shapes, numbers and letters. Sparks (kindergarten through second grade boys and girls)

The Sparks enjoy a variety of games, gather for an age-appropriate Bible lesson and meet with their leaders for "Sparkle time," to complete their handbook and recite Bible verses. Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears throughout the Bible-based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements. For more information on the Sparks program, click here.
