Chili con Carne

Ingredients:
- 2-1 lb. cans kidney beans
- 1-8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 to 1 1/2 T. chili powder
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1-4 oz. can chopped green chilies
- 1 lb. ground meat
- 1 bay leaf
- 1-11 lb. can tomatoes
Preparation
Brown onion, green pepper, and meat in a little oil. Add beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, bay leaf and green chilies.
Cover; simmer for 1 l/2 hours. May be cooked in crock pot on low for 6 to 8 hours. Add ground red pepper for spicier chili. Serves 6.
