Killer Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 C. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1-14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
  • 1 C. chopped nuts, opt.
  • 2/3 C. (sm. can) evaporated milk


Preparation

Combine cake mix, melted butter, nuts and l/3 Cup evaporated milk. Press 1/2 of the mixture into a 9"x13" pan and bake at 350°for6 minutes. Melt caramels with remainder of evaporated milk. Pour caramel mixture on top of cake, then layer chocolate chips and then crumble the rest of the cake mix on top. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes.
