Combine butter (or margarine), oil, sugars and egg in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients, except for white chocolate chips. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Mixwell. Add whitechocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Let cookies cool for 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Makes about 6 dozen.
