Italian Delight

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. shell macaroni
  • 1-3 oz. can mushrooms
  • 1/4 lb. Butter
  • 1 C. grated cheese
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 T. brown sugar
  • 3 med. Onions
  • 1 T. Worcestershire
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 T. chili powder
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 C. sherry
  • 4-8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can corn
  • 2 tsp. salt


Preparation

Cook macaroni. Saute in butter onions, green pepper, garlic and small amount of meat. Put in 3-quart casserole. Cook meat and stir in tomato sauce, corn, mushrooms, cheese, brown sugar, Worcestershire, chili powder, sherry, salt and pepper. Add macaroni; toss and refrigerate overnight. Bake, covered, 1 hour and 55 minutes at 350°.
