Deacon Rick Balogh

Rick Balogh grew up in west Los Angeles. He moved to the Antelope Valley in 1979. That same year, a friend invited him to Valley Bible Church. He became a Christian in 1988 after going through a divorce, which made him receptive to the gospel.

Rick leads one of the church's growth groups, as well as the Home Builders marriage ministry. He has taught several adult Sunday school classes and served as a high school group leader.

He works as a professor of geology, astronomy, geography and physical science at Antelope Valley College and spends most of his free time with his wife, Sharyn, and three children, Aimee, Danny and Kevin. He also enjoys writing and speaking on the topic of Creation vs. Evolution.
