Deacon Wayne Johnston

Wayne Johnston was raised in Acton and later moved to the San Fernando Valley, where he met his wife, Julie. He and Julie returned to Acton in 1987, working in the high school and college ministries of Crown Valley Community Church until their move to Quartz Hill in 1995.

Wayne received the truth about Jesus Christ around the sixth grade after he was injured in a motorcycle accident and no longer able to play sports. He has a bachelor's degree in Biblical ministries and a master's degree in Biblical counseling from the Master's College. He is certified with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and leads our Biblical counseling ministry. He also teaches in our Adult Christian Education Classes.

Wayne is a part-time instructor at Antelope Valley College. He and Julie have owned Pacific State Appraisal since 1992. They have two children, Aliza and Sky. The four of them enjoy playing hockey and croquet, hanging out at home, riding bikes and running.
