Valley Bible Church's - Mexico Ministry
Our Mexico Ministry serves in a partnership with Eternal Life Baptist Church in Tijuana, Mexico. Each summer we send a team of
adults and high schoolers to this church to serve in evangelism, children's ministries and building projects. We have also
trained some from the church in Evangelism Explosion.
Our next Mexico trip is planned for July 11-16, 2004. We anticipate over two dozen from our church to help ELBC with
construction projects and evangelistic outreach. We will also take part in their church activities and teach Vacation Bible
School during our visit.

The cost of the trip is about $120 per student and about $90 per adult. We will have several fund raising activities to cover
the cost of the trip. One fund raiser is our annual Talent Show, which provides over $2,000 for our Mexico missions effort.
Our next Talent Show will be on June 4, 2004 and the theme will be "Parody." The fund raising activities are intended for our
young people to earn the cost of their trip. In addition, each activity involves a service that our kids perform for our
congregation. This approach limits what we can do to raise the funds but we believe it is an important aspect of our ministry
which helps us encourage our young people to grow in responsibility and servanthood. This is especially valuable because the
people joining us on our trip will need to be responsible servants in order to be effective "missionaries."
Another ongoing fund raising activity is our "Indentured Servant" program. Through this program our young people are hired to
perform services for our church members at their request. Money has yet to prevent anybody from joining us on this trip, so
please let us know if you have any concerns regarding the cost.
