By missions, we mean our ministries to people who are culturally unable to be involved directly with the regular ministries of Valley Bible. This does not necessarily need to be ministry to people outside of the United States or even of a different ethnic group.
The missions program at Valley Bible is consistent with our philosophy of ministry, which is based on relationships and emphasizes the role of the local church. Therefore, we have developed the following priorities in our missions program:
1. We desire to support people from our church with whom we have had a long involvement for cross-cultural ministry This helps us to evaluate their qualifications for ministry and support them better.
2. We desire to support church members who will be involved in the development of local churches.
3. We desire to work in partnership with local churches among people where the gospel message is not able to reach the people apart from believers from other cultures assisting the church.
4. We desire to have a significant involvement with our missionary endeavors. Therefore, as we consider any additional missionary efforts we will first seek to be faithful in our present missionary partnerships.
5. We desire to maximizee the personal involvement of our church members in missions.
