Valley Bible Church's
Daily Bible Reading Programs
Here are four different programs to guide you in reading through the entire Bible. The first three cover the entire
Bible in one year and the fourth covers the New Testament in depth over two years.
1. The first reading program moves through the Bible in biblical order.
2. The second reading program covers the entire Bible in chronological order
as the events took place.
3. The third reading program is in biblical order but includes a section
from Psalms and Proverbs each day.
4. The fourth reading program goes through the New Testment in depth over
two years by reading the same section each day for a week.
Biblical Order This plan allows you to read straight through the Bible from Genesis to
Revelation in one calendar year. We encourage you to start on the reading that corresponds with today's date, whatever
that may be, and carry on until you have read completely through the entire bible.
Chronological Order This plan allows you to read through the Bible chronologically
from Genesis to Revelation in one calendar year. It provides a New Testament and an Old Testament reading and places the
Scripture in the order of events rather than date of writing. We encourage you to start on the reading that corresponds
with today's date, whatever that may be, and carry on until you have read completely through the entire bible. This
Bible reading plan prepared by A. Allison Lewis and used by permission.
Old/New Testaments, Psalm and Proverbs This plan allows you to read straight
through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation in one calendar year. It uses one passage from the Old Testament and one
from the New Testament plus a selection from Psalms and Proverbs each day to for added variety. We encourage you to
start on the reading that corresponds with today's date, whatever that may be, and carry on until you have read
completely throughout the entire Bible.
The New Testament In Depth Over Two Years This reading plan allows you to read the New
Testament in depth over two years. Rather than reading a different sction of Scripture each day, you will read the
same text for seven days. By the end of the week you will have a good idea of the content of that portion of the New
Testament.
